Scoutbots is a Teir III level program of the 501st Venturing Crew for the 2020-2022 school years.  One of the missions of this Venturing Crew is to foster interest among scouts in STEM whether in a lab or in nature through promoting hands-on activities and building relationships with other groups to help them learn more about themselves in demanding environments. Our team mission is to challenge scouts to learn something new while advocating for STEM inclusion in other scout programs. STEM is naturally a part of scouting, and we want to highlight it.  The Venturing motto is “lead the Adventure,”  and we hope to lead others to discovering the joy in learning about the world around us.

We follow the Scout Oath and Law in everything we do.  By also being a FIRST team, we further ourselves to serve our country and community.  We would not be where we are in the FIRST program without the support of our sponsors,  business groups, other teams, other coaches, and the strong support of our local Boy Scout council.  We aim to do a “good turn daily” in what we do and this certainly is something we feel FIRST allowed us to do every day by opening our doors to those affected during the pandemic to have a place to learn robotics. 

Update: Scoutbots has completed the 2021-2022 season. Members decided to not compete in the 2022-2023 season.
